And now, for the rest of their wedding & reception at the Hermitage Hotel. Giddy up!

A few weeks ago I posted the engagement session of Jason and Miranda (if you missed them, you can look at them here). Their wedding was the day after we had the engagement session (due to the fact that they had a Nashville, TN destination wedding at the Hermitage Hotel and flew in all the way from California!).
Their wedding day was smooth sailing as their closest family and friends came in to town to celebrate their marriage. We had our First Look downtown Nashville, TN and the weather held up beautifully! Miranda (who I finally figured out looks JUST LIKE Ginnifer Goodwin– Snow White from the tv show “Once Upon a Time”? Am I right or what?!) looked stunning in her wedding dress (wedding dress no. 1, that is!), birdcage veil, and blue accented jewelry. Ooooh! I can’t wait for you to see her!
I can’t over-state how much I enjoy and like this family. Miranda, Jason, Ethan, and Luke– I think the world of all of you and am honoured that I was able to photograph you all!
Without further ado, here is Part One of Miranda and Jason’s wedding!

And lots of thanks to my girl Ally for assisting me!
The End!
When I first moved to Nashville, I was surprised by how many people are here that I know! It really is a small, small world. Despite there being people that I knew, I had a hard time making friends. I always have a hard time making friends. It’s an awkward thing! Like, what do you do–go up to someone you want to be friends with, stick out your hand and say “Hey, wanna be my friend?” Maybe that’s how we should do it. Either way, there are a few girls who I think are great and who have made my time in Nashville awesome. You’ve seen two of them on my blog (Ally & Kirsten) and now it’s time to meet Emilia.
Emilia’s graceful, fun, grounded, and an awesome girl to hang out with. Gosh, what I wouldn’t do to have her long hair for just a day!
Emilia was awesome enough to come out and model for me on Marianna‘s Shadow session. The three of us hit up Shelby Park, talked about cameras, settings, posing. We walked around, we screamed about spiders (seriously, spiders were pretty much everywhere and I couldn’t handle it), and I made these photos of Emilia and Marianna.
Marianna came all the way from CALIFORNIA to do this Shadow Session. I was honoured. She’s a super rad girl with a great photographic background (formal education and experience) and I can’t wait to see what she does in the future!

Laura and Thomas are an absolutely wonderful couple who made the trip from Virginia and Kentucky over to me in Nashville for their engagement session.
I met Laura years ago at a cook-out in Virginia. I photographed her sister Kristen’s wedding last October (you can see Kristen & John’s wedding photos here: Part I & Part II) and fell in love with their family and friends. I am so, so, so excited to photograph Laura and Thomas’ wedding this summer. I love staying in family circles!!!
Without further ado, come on and meet Laura and Thomas!

Miranda and Jason flew in to Nashville (all the way from California) several days before their wedding and we were able to dodge the Spring rain showers and have their engagement photoshoot the day before their wedding. We met at the Hermitage Hotel (which is where their wedding was) and ventured into downtown Nashville to make these photos. Miranda was in her second wedding dress (I can’t even believe how awesome it is!!!) and cowboy boots (uh, yes please!) and Jason was looking as sharp as ever too! Even though Jason and Miranda live in California, I think they look pretty dang good in Nashville.
Take a look at these rockstars!
